Burlington is hiring a Lease Administration Specialist, to assist in all areas of responsibilities to manage the Burlington / Tenant / Sub-tenant relationship for over 790 retail locations from lease inception through termination. The primary focus is on Abstracting to ensure all Lease data is accurately entered into the company’s software system. The Specialist provides administrative support and assistance to management and all impacted departments to provide all lease data necessary to insure the integrity of the Store Development database.
A Day in the Life:.
- Abstract New Leases, Amendments and all other lease related documents
- Responsible to maintain the Lease Management System and lease files. Scan and index all lease related documents in electronic file as necessary
- Interpret, administer and enforce lease covenants and provisions to all lease agreements and ensure their complete compliance. Assist internal partners with lease interpretation and analysis as required
- Track and maintain lease expirations, renewal options and all critical dates and review such data with Management regularly
- Initiate and maintain all Landlord critical date notifications including lease renewals, terminations, estopples, SNDA’S and all related agreements
- Initiate and process monthly rents and rent increases throughout the lease term. Generate, review and maintain setup of monthly occupancy costs
- Prepare ownership change documentation for legal authorization and maintain such department vendor data in accordance with SOX compliance
- Communicate and create reports as requested by Real Estate, Legal, Construction and other Departments as required
- Review Landlord opening co-tenancy requirements and monitor ongoing shopping center co-tenancy for violations
- Assist the Real Estate Team as necessary with information required in the decision-making process for new and relocated store growth and potential sub-tenants
- Manage subleases and oversee the collection of Rent & Additional Rent, including but not limited to Common Area Maintenance, Real Estate Tax, Insurance, Utility, etc. Oversee the collection of all TI Reimbursements
- Work with the Legal Department to resolve Tenant / Landlord disputes / Insurance claims and defaults as necessary
- Maintain insurance certificate compliance as required
- Identify, execute and/or support PIC initiatives
- Daily prioritizing of all issues and action plans
- Special Projects as required

- Lease Administration and or Legal experience preferred
- Work closely with principals of Burlington and the Landlord offices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word and Excel
- Experience with Lucernex and Oracle preferred
- Periodic / occasional travel may be required
