We're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Distribution Center Operations Manager to lead key functions within our fast-paced distribution center. In this critical role, you'll oversee the flow of merchandise from receipt to shipment, ensuring seamless operations and timely store delivery.
You may lead teams across various departments, including Inbound (Unloading and Receiving), Put to Light, Ticketing, Quality Verification/Control, and Outbound (Loading and Spotter Truck Drivers). Working through a team of Supervisors, you’ll guide and inspire associates to achieve operational excellence.
You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient facility and ensuring all equipment is properly cared for. With a focus on maximizing store service while driving cost efficiency, you’ll play a key role in our supply chain success.

A Day In The Life:
- Lead, motivate, influence, coach, and train supervisors and hourly associates by providing both informal (on floor coaching) and formal (written evaluation) job performance feedback.
- Develop and engage your team on an effective operation plan for the shift to ensure throughput and metric goals are achieved while effectively controlling business costs to budget.
- Monitor KPIs through the use of the warehouse management systems and analytic reporting to ensure productivity goals are on track and achieved hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Ensures optimal staffing and efficiency levels in the DC to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product. Screens and makes hiring decisions on warehouse hourly associates
- Ensure a safe workplace by following Burlington safety policies and procedures including the accountability for reduction of and control of preventable accidents.
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of Burlington’s policies while maintaining positive associate relations.
You'll Come With:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience or equivalent. Leadership in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, analytical problem solver.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills,
- Warehouse Management System (Manhattan) experience
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining strong daily productivity, quality and safety performance:
- Ability to quickly understand and learn in- house applications.
- Ablility to work a flexible schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand/walk/climb stairs for up to 8-12 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head
- Ability to work early morning, mid-day, or overnight shifts
