Join the Burlington team as a Lease Administration Payables Supervisor! In this role you will manage the accounts payable process to ensure timely payments to landlords and maintains accurate financial records. You must be They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively manage payments, mentor team members, and ensure financial compliance. In this role, you will also develop, implement, and refine best practices and processes for all payments to comply with all company & SOX regulations.
A Day in the Life:
- Financial Compliance
- Oversee the daily operations of the Real Estate payable department.
- Review and validate Lease Auditors payment requests to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee lease payments are completed, and timelines are met.
- Manage Landlord and Tenant payments, refunds and expense reimbursements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Accounts Payable functions and tools.
- Assist and manage process improvements.
- Collaborate with other accounting teams to ensure close deadlines are met.
- Respond to questions presented by the accounting department.
- Update Monthly Percent Rent Accruals
- Administration Compliance
- Resolve issues by researching and gathering information about payment transactions.
- Mentor and train team members in all aspects of the payment process.
- Oversee, manage and coordinate all external audits including gathering and sending documents, reviewing of finding to completion for management approval.
- Establish internal standards, policies and procedures that will result in effective payment processing.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner, maintaining professional and courteous relationship with coworkers and landlords.
- Maintain correspondence with BCF Landlord’s including all necessary follow-up.
- Oversee paid files for all remittances to review with Auditors as required.
- Special projects as needed.
You’ll Come With:
- 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within the retail space
- Technical proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, Oracle Accounts Payable Module, and Lucernex
- Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- High energy, integrity and a positive & professional attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally with cross-functional partners and with external partners including Landlords.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
