Bring your experience to our growing Fortune 500 retail company and certified Great Place to Work!  Burlington Stores is a nationally recognized retailer of high quality, branded merchandise at everyday low prices, with over 1000 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico and we are in search of an Security Operations Specialist to be part of our Asset Protection Burlington Response and Investigation Command Center (BRIC) Team! This is our version of a Security Operations Center (SOC) a premier security operations center centralized with a flexible business model to help support the business through timely incident response and follow-up, investigative support, law enforcement collaboration, and detailed analysis for theft, shortage, and safety trends.  

 

Our Specialist will play a crucial organizational role by executing essential BRIC functions, including Event Intake and Monitoring, Information Management and Communication, Proactive Planning, and Investigative Support. Our specialist supports large-scale projects, actively monitor for safety concerns that could disrupt operations, and contribute to organizational resilience through security infrastructure oversight and management of third-party guard engagement.

 

 

A Day in the Life

  • Execute best practices and processes to support emerging risks, threats, and crisis situations.
  • Respond urgently to all reported incidents from intake through communication and resolution.
  • Assess and proactively identify threats and risks to company locations, associates, and assets.
  • Produce information and communication updates on rapidly developing situations via insights from internal and external contacts.
  • Review data and analyze POS transaction exceptions to identify behaviors that contribute to shrink utilizing “Secure 5” exception-based reporting platform.
  • Participate and contribute to the progression of the internal case management process, including communication with cross functional field partners.
  • Execute BRIC specific support functions associated with physical security systems and industry specific tools, that support associate safety, store security, and asset protection.
  • Develop strong relationships with field partners and leverages those relationships to ensure communications are high impact, accurate, and relevant.
  • Works cross-functionally with business partners; acts as a liaison between field and corporate departments. Work with business partners to provide appropriate updates while also adhering to processes during large scale crisis events.

 

You Come With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience preferred (Criminal Justice, Communications, Finance, or Business). Candidates who do not have a degree must demonstrate a high level of expertise and proficiency in the desired skills and abilities.
  • Ability to navigate and operate multiple software platforms responsible for supporting the BRIC initiatives, specifically: exception-based reporting and case management systems, incident response/management systems, and security infrastructure platforms (CCTV, alarm monitoring).
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem solving and analytical ability with ability to communicate with associates at all levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and manage tasks with a high level of concern for detail.
  • Ability to work in a flexible scheduling environment.
