The Associate Engagement and Experience Manager is a critical role responsible for shaping and enhancing the overall journey within at Burlington. This position focuses on creating a positive, engaging, and supportive work environment that fosters high levels of associate satisfaction, productivity, and retention. You will oversee the development and implementation of programs, initiatives, and strategies that drive employee engagement, cultivate a strong organizational culture, and ensure employees feel valued and connected to the company’s mission and goals.
A Day in the Life:
Strategic Vision and Thought Leadership:
- Develop strategy for continuously listening & experience design to support Burlington’s business objectives.
- Ensure our initiatives align with & support the needs/objectives of our customers: HR & managers.
- Serve as a thought leader in the areas of associate engagement and workplace experience.
- Influence organizational culture by sharing insights and best practices across the company.
- Build external networks to stay updated on industry best practices & emerging trends by engaging in public forums, industry conferences, & professional networks.
Listening and Insights:
- Use associate surveys, focus groups, GPTW etc. to identify trends, areas of improvement, & opportunities for enhancing the workplace experience.
- Provide consultation to executive leadership designing tools and resources that distill complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for actions.
Experience Design:
- Design & oversee programs that enhance the overall associate experience in critical moments (new hire, exit, internship)
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Burlington’s internship program experience to attract top talent and provide valuable, hands-on experience.
Team Leadership Execution:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Listening, Insights, & Workplace Design team; foster collaboration, innovation and trust
Collaboration with Key Stakeholders:
- Partner across key stakeholders with Events/Recognition, HR, Comms, etc. to align associate experience initiatives with org goals.
Budget Management:
- Manage and monitor the team’s budget; ensure financial objectives are met.
You’ll Come With:
- 5-8 years of experience demonstrating the ability to design and implement employee programs within an Employee Engagement, HR or Organizational Development capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience using design thinking or similar problem-solving frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
