The Center of Excellence (COE) and Strategic Initiatives team looking to add a Procurement Sourcing Analyst to our growing organization! This function is responsible for developing strategy, innovation and best practices within Procurement to optimize indirect spend at Burlington. The Procurement Department is a cross-functional Supply Chain capability that collaborates with various internal departments and stakeholders to provide procurement and sourcing support to all indirect departments of Burlington Stores.
In this role, you would report to the COE Manager and will initially be focused on supporting the creation, testing, and implementation of standardized reporting processes and analytical tools. Once the initial processes are built, you will be responsible for managing spend coverage analytics, developing business strategies and recommendations based on data outputs, distributing weekly reports, and providing analytical support to Procurement projects.
A Day in the Life:
- Spend Analytics
- Execute development of a reporting tool to capture the progress of the Procurement Team as a means of measuring departmental effectiveness
- Cleanse, normalize, categorize, and cross-reference large spend data files originating from multiple sources to use in reporting, auditing, and strategy development
- Own and manage the historical spend database ensuring accuracy, completeness, and the availability of data
- Manage the Spend Coverage Report to provide data-driven, strategic insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with members of the Procurement Team to ensure that the corporate procurement goals and objectives are met
- Supplier List Management
- Actively own and manage the list of approved vendors by reviewing contracts, pricing agreements, and spend data
- Partner with the Procurement Team and business units to understand maverick spend
- Collaborate with business partners to identify and manage critical vendors to prevent or reduce overall risk
- Project Reporting
- Ensure the accuracy, frequency, and completion of weekly project tracking and reporting, in accordance with standard reporting procedure
- Ensure that reported savings and projects have gone through the proper approval processes prior to completion
- Analytical Support
- Ad-Hoc Spend Data Analysis – Utilizing spend data to identify historical trends and/or predict future trends
- Market Analysis – Comparing spend trends with market indices, news, and intel to identify opportunities
- Sourcing Analysis – Consolidating, reviewing, validating, and performing analytics for sourcing events
- Contract Data Management – Reviewing, analyzing, and/or editing contract data and system attributes
- General Analytical Support – Performing other ad-hoc analysis as needs arise and are required by the business
You’ll Come With:
- Bachelor's Degree in with an focus in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, or MIS preferred.
- 5+ years experience in place of 4 year degree would be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or relevant analytical role in a business environment.
- Proven experience using data systems such as MS Excel, MS Access required.
- SAS, or equivalent statistical data analysis or business intelligence platform experience a plus.
- SQL, VBA, and/or applicable script writing experience a plus.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with strong organizational skills for managing tasks and time effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Skilled in data analysis and trend identification, with advanced Excel proficiency for large dataset management.
- Knowledgeable in finance and accounting, with solid fact-based decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptable team player with excellent communication and influence skills, able to manage cross-functional projects and support multiple stakeholders.
- Positive attitude and creative thinker, ready to tackle business challenges.
