Overview

We are seeking a HR Compliance Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring Burlington adheres to all relevant laws and regulations governing human resources practices. The HR Compliance Analyst is primarily responsible for monitoring, auditing and reporting of the company’s legal compliance practices. This individual will prepare reports and data analysis of compliance accuracy and operational efficiency within the HR function, leveraging system analytics to help drive informed decisions and supporting the organization's overall success and reputation. 

 

A Day in the Life:

  • Reporting and analysis: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on compliance activities and findings.  Analyze reports of compliance issues, creating tables and dashboards on a weekly basis.  Analyze HR data to identify trends or patterns that may indicate compliance risks or opportunities for improvement.
  • Auditing: Conduct audits to identify potential issues and training opportunities.
  • Investigating complaints and violations: Work closely with legal counsel and HR teams to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.  Investigate and resolve complaints related to HR practices and addressing any violations of laws or regulations.  Monitor compliance email box and ensure timely responses.
  • Providing training and guidance: Assist in planning training sessions for HR staff and managers to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements.

 

You’ll Come With:

  • 3+ years’ experience in supporting multiple business units in HR compliance or similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, organizational, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting data in front of diverse audiences, including via Teams and/or other online platforms.
  • Ability to develop executive level presentations and present ideas/information to senior leadership in the company.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Superior communications skills, specifically verbal, written and organizational skills with the ability to create and edit PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets and business correspondence, etc.
  • Able to exercise good judgement and discretion in preparing and handling sensitive information.
  • Retail industry experience preferred
  • Previous Workday experience is a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance preferred
  • Relevant HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SPHR, or similar) is a plus
