Overview

Burlington is on an exciting journey to transform the off-price business model with data driven analytics and insights.  As an IT WMS Manager you will lead in providing Burlington stable and efficient WMS systems across the enterprise and help Burlington continue to be an industry-leading retailer.

In this role you will provide leadership for WMS functional team responsible for the overall functional/technical configuration, design, testing and integration of Manhattan WMS with MHE systems.

You will manage a diverse team of Associates, consultants, and 3rd-party vendor resources to provide support, team leadership, and business customer relationships. This role serves as a liaison between the Supply Chain Business, DC Operations teams and IT.

 

A Day In The Life

 

Design and Process:

  • Drive operational efficiencies and excellence across the organization.
  • Assists in Transforming requirements into software design and/or configuration.
  • Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps the program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
  • Design user interfaces to accomplish goals of user request.
  • Analyze and improve supply chain data, and processes.
  • Cultivate & maintain business partnerships; consistently provide outstanding customer service.

 

Develop, and Test:

  • Oversee testing and troubleshooting.
  • Modifies applications to increase operational efficiency or to satisfy new requirements.
  • Writes documentation to describe program development and logic.

Support:

  • Provide support of warehouse applications; fix minor and major issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with business to provide short-term workarounds and long-term solutions to production problems.
  • Assist in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners and vendors.

Lead:

  • Develop staff through alignment on critical organizational initiatives as well as coaching and mentoring
  • Provide feedback on performance and address opportunities for improvement proactively.
  • Leads projects of medium -large size and complexity – providing direction to project team members on issues of technology, implementation, and support.
  • Mentor and/or train others to achieve objectives.
  • Follows the SDLC and SOX, Regulatory, and Security best practices to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements proactively.

 

To Be Successful You Should Possess

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles with an expertise in Warehouse Management Processes
  • End to End Functional knowledge in implementing Manhattan Warehouse Management System
  • 8 or more years of experience in Manhattan WM Open Systems (WMS 2018 or higher) required
  • 3 + years of expertise in managing a team that support different Functional areas of WMS – like inbound, outbound etc.,
  • Any experience in Manh WM Active version and other Manh products like LM, TMS and SCI will be an added advantage
  • Oracle SQL/PL experience, any experience in Unix, Java is advantageous
  • Good oral and written skills.  May train others in functional area and interact with others across the company and/or externally. May make presentations to department or management.
  • In-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with ability to use in varied situations.
